Feed My Soul

A  famous definition of motherhood b Tenneva Jordan is:
“A mother is a person who, seeing there are only four pieces of pie for five people, promptly announces she never did care for pie.”
A mother's love nourishes us and so does real romantic love.
The writer and physician Michael Crichton said:
There are ways to know real love. It feels calm. It's steady, and it can easily last a lifetime. It's nourishing — people grow under its influence. They become who they really are, and not what someone expects them to be.

The title track from the album above is the sincerest of love songs. It is a warm, soulful ballad written by Wendell Holmes of the Holmes Brothers.  He lets us know that it was the love of his life who helped pull him through his medical crisis and perhaps other ordeals.
“You forgave me, baby, when I needed forgiving/You gave me the strength to keep right on living.”  The harmonizing between the brothers and the ladies is subtle and sublime.
Listen to  Feed My Soul.
The next time I am in a restaurant with the one I love, I will think of the food as only something on a plate, the real love is feeding my soul.
